Heart Music in the Heart of Florida

Mackeehan seized the opportunity to capture the hearts of the Florida nationals all in a couple of weeks. He graced the Culture Fuzion stage of the Grace Jamaica Jerk Festival held in Markham Park on November 8, 2015. This event attracts thousands of Jamaicans living in the USA as well as Caribbean culture lovers alike. Backed by the Army Gideon Band, he was able to connect on a personal level with his audience as he ran through his set including: Miss You Bad, Shine Eye Girl, Who's Gona Help Us Now and what seemed to be the crowd's favorite, his latest addition, Better Mus Come. He later described the band as the "Real deal". He stated, "When you meet with a group of people for a short time and you are able to have a jam session your audience can see your enjoyment and that is when they join in. Being able to accomplish that with the Army Gideon band made it a family affair both on and off stage as the audience was very involved in our performance." This was evident as once the performance was over. His audience showed they definitely were not afraid to ask for pictures, autographed CD's, hugs and just about anything their hearts desired.

Mackeehan made other stops at Bougainvillea's and The Garden where he shared stage with Kristine Alicia and the Army Gideon Band. He described the experience as a "Link up" having co-write Kristine Alicia's Freedom Fighters. Once again his latest track Better Mus Come seemed to resonate with the crowd and was even greeted with true Jamaican style "Money pull up".

Having made a good first impression Mackeehan expressed that he sees good collaborative efforts with the Army Gideon Band coming in the future and is also please to be the new addition to the Cooyah Clothing family as an ambassador. He looks forward to many more "Link up" in Florida.
